  • They were quick to discover the problem… tree roots. They made some suggestions to alleviate the problem. After the hydro-scrub the more serious problem of a collapsed pipe section was apparent. After another technician arrived they reviewed the situation, and a plan to resolve the problem was made. I agreed to the quote and the next day a crew of 4 showed up and solved it in about 3 hours. I can sleep easy once again knowing a back up isn’t likely anymore. They all were friendly and very professional. I would definitely recommend Mr. Rooter.

  • We had a sewer back up in our basement in February. This is the first time I’ve been through this type of experience. I called Mr. Rooter since I hear the commercials on the radio all the time. The person who answered the phone was incredibly helpful and she had somebody dispatched within five minutes. I appreciated receiving a text notification about the specialist that will be coming… This text message had a picture and the name of the person so I could check when they got to my door. Adam arrived at our house within 40 minutes of the time of my call. He was very very professional, and had our sewer line cleared in a short timeframe. He showed us video footage of our pipes and provided information about our options. He answered our questions – sometimes it’s difficult when professionals use jargon that’s very specific to that industry,, but Adam was really easy to understand. Our experience with Mr Rooter was a positive one – from the time I called panicking about my basement flooding, to the time the plumber arrived and the after service care. We would definitely recommend them but hope to never have a back up again. :)

Frequently Asked Questions About Emergency Plumbing in Sturgeon County, Alberta

Our licensed and insured service professionals at Mr. Rooter Plumbing® are here to answer any questions you have about our plumbing services in Sturgeon County, Alberta. If you have emergency plumbing-related questions, you may find the answer you’re looking for below.

  • Because every plumbing emergency callout can differ, homeowners and business owners can’t always expect to pay a set flat rate fee for a plumber’s time. What you pay for an emergency plumber depends on factors like how far they have to travel, the materials they need for the job, their regular labour fees, and the timing of the emergency. Most emergency plumbers would be more than happy to give you a rough idea of how much their services will cost so you can plan for it. All plumbing companies charge different rates for plumbing emergencies across various cities, municipalities, and provinces, depending on their costs and demand.

  • You have a plumbing emergency if there’s something wrong with one of your plumbing systems that could cause damage or a health risk without intervention. If your drain is blocked, your water heater has failed, or you suspect a possible water leak or burst pipe, these are all emergency plumbing issues you need to address as soon as possible. A plumbing emergency can require the training and experience levels of trusted emergency plumbers who provide a range of helpful plumbing services. Many standout plumbing professionals want to make it easier for customers to receive emergency plumbing services when they need them by offering a 24/7 call answering service.

  • For plumbing emergencies like blocked drains, burst pipes, and failing water heaters, it’s a good idea to call a plumbing service provider you trust. In most situations, you’re able to reach plumbing professionals on their direct line or through a 24/7 live answering service if they offer one for plumbing emergencies. When phoning an emergency plumber, describe the problem you’re having so plumbers can establish how serious it is and discuss how they can help. Some emergency plumbing situations can be so severe, hazardous, and/or damaging that you also need to contact utility companies and insurance companies alongside emergency plumbers.

  • Many of the best plumbing professionals are easy to find on the internet because they publish their contact details, like phone numbers, on their websites. Finding an emergency plumber may not be as challenging as you think it is when many of the best ones publish their contact information in online and paper directories. If you don’t have internet access, finding trusted emergency plumbing service providers can still be straightforward when you can ask friends and family for recommendations. Many plumbing service providers are available to take your call 24/7 for plumbing emergencies, but you may need to contact more than one since not all are.

  • It’s often possible to avoid catastrophic plumbing system failures through regularly scheduled maintenance and by booking plumbing service providers to carry out plumbing system inspections. Insulating exposed pipes and those in attics, basements, and other unheated spaces can help you avoid plumbing emergencies during cold weather. By learning more about your home or business plumbing systems, you may be able to act quickly and prevent plumbing emergencies or their associated damage. Avoid serious plumbing emergencies by being mindful of what you put down your drain, like grease, oil, wipes, and feminine products.

  • Diagnosing your plumbing emergency, like a burst pipe, is important for knowing how to take control to protect your family and property from danger and damage. Some plumbing emergencies can quickly be brought under control by turning off your main water valve or a localized valve for smaller, localized issues in your property. Use buckets, towels, and containers to manage the water from a plumbing emergency inside your home or business and feel less stressed and more in control. Contact a trusted emergency plumbing service provider for safety reasons and turn off the power supply to the impacted area.

  • A clogged toilet can often become a plumbing emergency that you need to call a plumbing service provider for help with. While you might not think a clogged toilet is a plumbing emergency, it can become one when it starts to overflow, floods your bathroom, and damages your home. Clogged toilets can lead to serious sanitation issues, and the related health risks can turn your clogged toilet into a plumbing emergency that requires professional assistance. You need a plumbing emergency service professional when your only toilet is blocked, you have multiple blocked toilets, or this isn’t your first time experiencing a blockage recently.

  • Call a trusted emergency plumbing service provider without delay when you have a blocked drain and can’t fix it yourself. If you find that several drains and fixtures on your property are clogged, it could be a sign of a serious plumbing issue linked to your main sewer lines or plumbing systems. If a blocked drain is causing raw sewage or standing water, which can be health hazards, call a trusted emergency plumbing service professional. Call an emergency plumber for help with blocked drains when they happen regularly and are frequently putting your household at risk of health issues.

  • Don’t be afraid to contact your local trusted emergency plumber if you’re experiencing a water leak in your home or business that you can’t address yourself. Some water leaks can have fast-flowing water, which can be damaging, so call your local plumber’s emergency line to get help and advice. You can undoubtedly describe a water leak as a plumbing emergency when it affects the flooring, walls, and ceiling of your commercial or residential structure. Water leaks involving critical areas like water heaters and main water lines, or those that pose electrical risks require the urgent help of emergency plumbers.

  • A challenging work environment, a late working hour, and outstanding service are all great reasons to tip your local emergency plumber after they help you. While tipping your plumber isn’t required, you can still show your thanks in other ways, like a heartfelt card or a glowing online testimonial so other customers can find them. Residential and commercial customers don’t have to feel pressured into providing tips to their emergency plumbers, nor will their plumbers ask for them or expect them.
